From November 13–16, the 13th edition of ART021 will take place at Shanghai Exhibition Center.  With a global vision based on local roots, ART021 commits to presenting outstanding art practice from leading galleries and institutions, providing an open and professional platform for galleries, artists, collectors and art lovers worldwide. While Shanghai has become one of the most important contemporary art hubs, ART021 thrives to fostering the city as an outstanding international art trading center and stimulating the development of the art and culture scene.

For the 2024 edition, ART021 featured a strong line-up of 131 participating galleries and projects from 43 cities across 20 countries and regions. With thousands of artworks spanning from paintings,  sculptures, installations, videos and digital art. Key international players who participated in 2024 include Galerie Chantal Crousel (Paris), OTA Fine Arts (Tokyo, Singapore, Shanghai), Mennour (Paris, London), Almine Rech (Paris, New York, London, Brussels, Shanghai, Monaco), White Cube (London, Hong Kong, Paris, New York, Seoul),  David Zwirner (New York, Los Angeles, London, Hong Kong, Paris), Kurimanzuttto（Mexico City, New York).  The fair has welcomed over 60,000 visitors through the VIP Preview and Public Day.  

ART021 is also in step with the most important galleries in China,  such as Antenna Space (Shanghai),  Beijing Commune (Beijing), HdM Gallery (Beijing, London), Hive Center for Contemporary Art (Beijing, Shanghai),  Tang Contemporary Art (Beijing, Hong Kong, Bangkok, Seoul, Singapore) , ShanghART Gallery（Shanghai, Beijing, Singapore).

This year, ART021 GROUP embarks on a new chapter, consolidating all fairs and brands under its unified platform. We aim to integrate our expertise and network, building up the comprehensive platform and benefiting the art ecosystem. As the Group’s flagship fair, ART021 continues to anchor itself in the city’s vibrant art industry, globally connected environment, and dynamic community. Building on these foundations, the fair will further leverage its strengths to offer distinctive art programmes for collectors and visitors.

Application for 2024 ART021 is now open. Please visit here and register as an exhibitor. We accept applications for two sections. Applications will be closed on May 18 at 6pm (GMT+8). The result will be notified in mid-June.

Main Galleries: Featuring leading art and design galleries worldwide, presenting outstanding modern and contemporary artwork and experimental art practice at present.

Approach: Focusing on emerging galleries and promoting young talents, galleries would present curated solo booth of their artist or group show of three artists at most.

Applications are only accepted from commercial galleries that have physical exhibitionary space and hold more than three exhibitions each year. Any individual or institution that only conducts artwork transactions will not be eligible to apply.
