Applications open for twelfth edition

From November 7–10, ART021 Shanghai Contemporary Art Fair—one of the leading art fair in Asia—will once again take place at Shanghai Exhibition Center, the major landmark in central Shanghai. ART021 has become the highly acclaimed fair that nurtures local art market whilst the city is actively growing into an important art center. With a global vision based on local root, ART021 commits to present outstanding art practice from leading galleries and art institutions, providing an open and professional platform for galleries, artists, collectors and art lovers all over the world. 

In 2023, the eleventh edition of ART021 returned to the largest scale with 150 leading galleries from 16 countries and regions. It attracted an overall attendance of 80,000 throughouts the VIP and Public days, with a significant influx of young and international collectors and audience. This year, ART021 Executive Committee will solidify the position of the fair, by creating exceptional on-site experience and presenting the most impressive artworks and programmes collaborated with various cultural partners. 

Application for 2024 ART021 is now open. Please visit here and register as exhibitor. We accept applications for two sections. Applications will be closed on May 7 at 12pm (GMT+8).

Main Galleries: Featuring leading art and design galleries worldwide, presenting outstanding modern and contemporary artwork and experimental art practice at present.

Approach: Focusing on emerging galleries to promote the talents. Galleries would present curated solo booth of their artist or group show of three artists at most.

Beyond: Offering opportunity to stage public installations in and out the venue. Exhibitors selected for Main Galleries or Approach can subsequently get application portal.

Please note
Applications are only accepted from commercial galleries that have physical exhibitionary space and hold more than three exhibitions each year. Any individual or institution that only conducts artwork transaction will not be eligible to apply.
