The Jan van Eyck Academie in Maastricht, the Netherlands opens its doors for the annual Open Studios event during which 43 participants will reveal what they have been working on during their residency period. This year, the involved artists, designers, architects, writers, and curators will present their work not only in the academy building, but also online.
Running in parallel across physical as well as digital platforms, the event is composed of exhibitions, installations, online performances, screenings, talks, presentations, and more. The online public programme will take place every Open Studios day from 7–9pm CEST on our website and YouTube and Vimeo channels. The participants present their work on the Open Studios 2021 website, and every Open Studios day between 4 and 5pm CEST, the participants will host digital openings, have live chats and take the audience on virtual tours throughout their works on the interactive platform The Fourth Garden.
