In 2012, the Sparkassenstiftung Lüneburg, together with the district and the Hanseatic city of Lüneburg, developed an archive for the region’s cultural memory. The Neuhaus an der Elbe office preserves and manages over 6,000 works, including pictures, sketches, sculptures and photographs by artists from the Lüneburg region. In addition to individual works, complexes of works are entrusted to the archive as bequests or legacies.
