workinprogress

workinprogress is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting experimental working practices. It fosters innovative projects across various art forms, including educational programs, exhibitions, performances, and events. At the heart of this organization is the Experimental Art School, an independent university that encompasses all art disciplines. Founded by UK artist Terry Smith and curator Clare Fitzpatrick, workinprogress commissions artists to produce new work, overseeing its administration, fundraising, and budget management. Notable events organized by workinprogress include DRAWN CUT TORN and FILM/VIDEO/PERFORMANCE. The organization also curated the 2013 Venice Agendas: Speed Dating, Live Art, and The Alternative Scene, as well as the upcoming 2017 Venice Agendas: The Contract.
