How does curatorial practice influence our understanding of self and community, of individuality and collective identity, and what implicit messages does it communicate? In a time of cultural controversies that frequently reinforce existing biases, we strive to foster a thoughtful, rigorous, and occasionally playful curatorial dialogue. The Curatorial Intensive begins with an engaging talk on the evening prior to the dynamic, hands-on workshop the following day. Five innovative curators from the PhD Program in Curating at the University of Reading will share their in-depth research based on their dissertations and invite participants to engage in thought-provoking exercises and discussions.
