Applications open for POSITIONS Berlin Art Fair 2020

Dear gallery owners,

We hope you have survived the last few weeks well and are now looking forward with us to a more and more returning normality of our social life—also in the art world. As you have surely noticed, the number of cases of Covid-19 in Germany is already decreasing strongly and the restrictions introduced are being lifted step by step, encounters are possible again, business life is slowly but surely picking up speed again. The same goes for the art market!

The traditional date of the POSITIONS Berlin Art Fair as part of the Berlin Art Week in September after the summer break gives us maximum planning security. Our fair will therefore take place from September 10–13, 2020 as already announced and will present selected international galleries with their most important artistic positions of contemporary and modern art at Tempelhof Airport—Hangar 4.

We are using the current preparation time to adapt to the new requirements and to enable gallery owners to find new ways of presenting their work. We are also in close contact with government representatives, and are playing out all conceivable scenarios in order to best protect the health and safety of all parties involved, while at the same time ensuring the greatest possible satisfaction of our participants and visitors.

Since many years, Berlin has been the city that can offer the broadest overview of current developments in contemporary art through the multitude of international artists and galleries based here. POSITIONS Berlin Art Fair’s aim is to make this overview and discourse extensively possible. The art fair is depicting the quality and currentness of the international art scene comprehensively and independently from established categories and invites visitors to discover new positions.
