Art Basel Miami Beach

November 30 – December 4, 2005

nina menocal is pleased to announce the gallery’s participation in this years Art Basel Miami Beach, November 30 – December 4, 2005! We will be presenting the current work of our core emerging and established gallery artists: Carlos Aguirre, Gustavo Artigas, Atelier Morales, José Bedia, Agustín Bejarano, Fernando Carabajal, Oscar Cueto, Angel Delgado, Elsoca & Fabian, Claudia Fernández, Perla Krauze, Francisco Larios, Sandra Ramos, René Fransico Rodríguez, Raymundo Sesma, Tercerunquinto, Miguel Ventura, and Alvaro Verduzco.

We would like to think of 2005 as being our year, as we are celebrating the gallery’s 15th anniversary. Thanks from the heart to all of our friends, collectors, and the Florida Press for their support during this time.

Our special project for Art Basel Miami Beach is called Wunderkammer III. The word ‘wunderkammer’ is the idea at the foundation of early European collections or “cabinets of curiosity.” Wunderkammer I and Wunderkammer II were group exhibitions at the gallery in Mexico City, during 2005, that brought together our artists with artist from Latin and North America and Europe, through a wide-ranging investigation of the contemporary experience of landscape. Wunderkammer III, closing our year, will be ‘a space of wonderful surprises,’ a special presentation of current work by our gallery artists. We hope to surprise you all with our booth, which will also present our focus and direction for the coming years!

Thank you all again, friends, collectors, members of the press and art professionals!
