Civitella Ranieri Foundation provides residencies for established visual artists, composers, and writers at its Center in Umbria, Italy. There, we foster our Fellows’ work, rest, and research while supporting a global conversation and collaborative spirit.

Fellowships are awarded through a nomination, application, and jury process that ensures us access to a highly diverse group of international candidates. Our Nominators are a rotating group of accomplished artists, academics, and critics.

The Center is funded by the Civitella Ranieri Foundation, Inc., a non-profit corporation with offices in New York City.
