Gregory Crewdson’s large-scale, elaborately staged and psychologically charged photographs address the intersection between order and chaos, real and surreal, beauty and repulsion, challenging the notion of the photograph as a faithful witness. His work is in the collections of MoMA, the Whitney, the Metropolitan Museum of Art and other major institutions.
