Oleksiy Radynski is a filmmaker and writer based in Kyiv. His films have been screened at Oberhausen International Short Film Festival, Institute for Contemporary Arts (London), DOK Leipzig, e-flux bar laika, International Studio and Curatorial Program (New York), and other venues, and have received a number of awards at film festivals. His texts have recently been published in Art and Theory of Post-1989 Central and East Europe: A Critical Anthology (edited by Ana Janevski, Roxanna Marcoci, and Ksenia Nouril, MoMA, 2018), Being Together Precedes Being (edited by Joshua Simon, Archive Books, 2018), and Proxy Politics: Power and Subversion in a Networked Age (edited by Research Center for Proxy Politics, Archive Books, 2017). He is a participant of the Visual Culture Research Center, an initiative for art, knowledge, and politics founded in Kyiv, 2008. Currently, he is a BAK 2019/2020 Fellow at basis voor actuele kunst, Utrecht.
