Matt Sussman is an independent writer and programmer based in Oakland, California. His critical writing has appeared in Art in America, Frieze, Fabrik, and Art Practical, where he also was an editor for six years. He has contributed essays to The Bigness of Things: New Narrative and Visual Culture (Wolfman Books, 2017), SFMOMA’s Open Space platform, and Not Pollock/Not Krasner (Colpa, 2015). Previously, he managed artist support initiatives and public programs at Bay Area Video Coalition.
