Laura Vallés-Vílchez is a pedagogist and curator based in London, with one foot in Valencia. She teaches in the MA Curating Contemporary Art at the Royal College of Art and leads the Study Program at Institut Valencià d’Art Modern (IVAM). Her research is informed by her work as cofounder of Concreta, a Spanish nonprofit publishing organization. In 2021, she was appointed he UK director for the European cooperation project 4Cs: From Conflict to Conviviality through Creativity and Culture. Laura has curated numerous exhibitions including Teresa Lanceta: Weaving as an Open Source, MACBA Museu d’Art Contemporani de Barcelona and IVAM, 2022–23; Across the Sand, Azkuna Zentroa, Artium, and CentroCentro, 2019–20; and the biennial Myths of the Near Future, TEA Tenerife Espacio de las Artes, 2019–20. Among other authors, she has translated the work of Donna Haraway, Isabelle Stengers, Moyra Davey, and Paul B. Preciado.
