Guillermo Canek García is a curator, essayist, cultural journalist, and artist with over fifteen years of experience in the political analysis of contemporary Mexican culture and its embedded historical legacies. Through writing, curation, and public programming, he creates platforms, texts, performances, and independent seminars that critically engage aesthetic and theoretical production in the Americas. He is currently the Academic Curator of the Museo Universitario Arte Contemporáneo (MUAC), of the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México, through its Campus Expandido program. He is also the coeditor of the project LUCA, an independent platform and a free exploration space that gathers knowledge on arts, anthropology, technology, science, and philosophy. Its website (luca.lat) also functions as a free public archive that aims to share specialized knowledge with a broader public.
