Eunsol Kim Read Bio Collapse
Eunsol Kim works with interest in the relationship between human life and technology, and uses various media such as video, physical computing, and computation. Rather than taking an optimistic or pessimistic attitude toward technology, she is asking meaningful questions at the boundary and trying to practice escape-learning that disrupts the existing structure of consciousness. In recent years, she has been focusing on objects (history, disaster, environment) that are related to her in a physical and professional sense within the city, based on thorough observation, and expressing them in corresponding media. Kim Eun Sol studied photography, video, and media art and participated in group exhibitions and screenings such as Seoul Photo Festival (2011), Juan Media Festival (2013), and Geumcheon Art Factory (2015). She won the Experimental Film And Video Festival in Seoul – EXiS Jungwoon AWARD (2011) and the DaVinci Creative Competition (2015). She is also active in media-art education and research.
