Reza Negarestani is a philosopher. He has lectured and taught at numerous international universities and institutes. His current philosophical project is focused on rationalist universalism beginning with the evolution of the modern system of knowledge and advancing toward contemporary philosophies of rationalism, their procedures as well as their demands for special forms of human conduct. His latest book, Intelligence and Spirit (Urbanomic / Sequence Press, 2018) is focused on philosophy of intelligence at the intersections between cognitive sciences, German idealism, and theoretical computer science. He is currently directing the Critical Philosophy programme at the New Centre for Research and Practice.
Keith Tilford is an artist and theorist living in Brooklyn, NY. His current art and research projects focus on the intersection of comics and artistic modernism in relation to diagrammatics, worldbuilding, abstraction, and technics. He recently contributed drawings for Eugene Thacker’s Cosmic Pessimism (Univocal, 2015). His essays include: “Diagramming Horizons Between Art, Technē, and the Artifactual Elaboration of Mind” (2017); “Generalized Transformations and Technologies of Investigation: Laruelle, Art, and the Scientific Model” (2017); “Last and First Capitalisms: The Future Histories of Interstellar Societies in Olaf Stapledon” (2014).
