“Sandra Natali” Residence for artists was created in 2010 thanks to Sandra Natali, a secondary high school teacher, who appointed the former Istituzione Galleria d’Arte Moderna in Bologna (now part of Istituzione Bologna Musei) as her sole heir.
In respect of Sandra Natali’s last wishes - that binds the MAMbo - Museum of Modern Art of Bologna to accept the legacy only to substain and promote the work of young artists – the apartment, located in Via Turati n. 41, has been transformed in a residence for artists to whom the Istituzione Bolgona Musei offers the opportunity to develop issues and researches in collaboration with other European institutions.
The apartment, a 90 square meters space, consists of a kitchen, two bedrooms, two bathrooms and a living-room turned in a lab-atelier in which the artists can create works in collaboration with the museum.
With the Residence MAMbo offers a venue exclusively dedicated to the growth of Italian and international artists and their introduction in the art’s world, supporting the most actual expressions of visual contemporary culture.
