The A plus A gallery 

Experimental is the key word when it comes to the curatorial approach taken by gallerists Sandro Pignotti and Aurora Fonda who have run A Plus A since 2015. The gallery regularly hosts group exhibitions commissioning young artists and international curators. Solo exhibitions round out the programme – featuring the likes of Roy Claire Potter, Beth Collar, Enej Gala and Jesse Darling, artists interested in contemporary researches. Every September, Sandro Pignotti shows the outcome of the Curatorial Studies Venice initiative. This course in curatorial practices set up by Aurora Fonda in 2004 – one of the first in Italy – welcomes fellows from all around the world for setting at the gallery their final show. This carefully constructed programme, combined with a passion for sharing and attentive hospitality, makes A Plus A an essential place for contemporary art in Venice.
