The Humboldt Forum. A lively place for everyone
World art and science, virtual and museum spaces, contemporary and local history as well as restaurants, bars and shops – across three floors the Humboldt Forum offers a diverse programme in the heart of Berlin.
Behind the Berlin Palace’s reconstructed baroque façades and its modern architecture, you will find exhibitions and discourses, films and performances, workshops, digital projects, as well as much more. It is where creatives and artists, researchers, visitors and international communities come together and get involved.
On your route from the castle’s cellar up to the roof, you can explore many things: the eventful history of the site; ideas of the namesakes Wilhelm and Alexander von Humboldt; ethnological collections and Asian art; sound and language archives; presentations of international communities from North America, Africa and India; an ideas workshop with cutting-edge research to participate in and stories about Berlin’s connection with the world.
Four partners make all of this possible: the Stiftung Preußischer Kulturbesitz with the collections of the Ethnologisches Museum and the Museum für Asiatische Kunst of the Staatliche Museen zu Berlin, the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, the Stadtmuseum Berlin and the Stiftung Humboldt Forum im Berliner Schloss.
