City & Guilds of London Art School is a small, not-for-profit higher education provider in central London, with a well-deserved reputation for excellence, dating back to 1854.
We specialise in teaching contemporary fine art, design, conservation, art and material research and historic craft skills at Foundation, undergraduate and postgraduate levels, focusing on both traditional and contemporary skills, processes and theories. We’re committed to ‘learning through making’ and material enquiry, and place a strong emphasis on studio practice.
We provide bright, spacious studio spaces, a high tutor-to-student ratio, specialist facilities and prestigious live projects and commissions through our incredible industry and alumni links. Our tutors are all practising practitioners, makers, artists and experts in their fields.
We are able to offer our students a broad range of grants and financial assistance to support their education thanks to our thriving network of supporters and benefactors, who value the vital role we play in ensuring the continuation of specialist craft skills and inspiring new generations of artists, makers and researchers.
