The Mozarteum University offers more than 40 artistic and pedagogical fields of study in the areas of music, performing and visual arts. Around 2,000 students from all over the world receive a comprehensive education in numerous instrumental subjects, composition, conducting, singing, music theatre, acting, directing, stage design, music and dance pedagogy, art pedagogy as well as musicology. More than 500 teachers, many of them internationally renowned artists and educators, pass on their knowledge and art and fill the university with lively debate.
With international exchanges of teachers and students, scholarship programmes, exchange concerts and joint projects, the Mozarteum University maintains worldwide relations with other music and art universities. Students and lecturers are actively working together within the framework of their studies. They present themselves to the public in numerous concerts, theatre, dance and opera productions as well as exhibitions and enrich Salzburg’s cultural life. In addition to the intensive studies in an art-friendly environment, the networks for later professional careers begin here.
