IMPAKT (Centre for Media Culture) is a media arts organisation based in Utrecht. We present critical and creative views on contemporary media culture and arts, in an interdisciplinary context. Our aim is to identify urgent issues in our digital and transglobal culture, by focusing on the relationship between society, media, technology, art and design. The whole year round we organise talks, screenings, residency programmes and exhibitions to reflect on themes such as the complexity of our data driven world, our rights as digital citizens, how power structures are reflected in media and technology, conspiracy theories, meme culture and new approaches to climate change. Our main project is the five-day IMPAKT Festival, which takes place every year in November.
