The Cress Gallery of Art is an academic gallery in the Department of Art at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. It’s mission is to provide students and the general public exposure to diverse contemporary art practices.
The Cress Gallery of Art is an institutional member of the Association of Academic Museums and Galleries (AAMG). It bears the name of artist and UTC Guerry Professor of Art Emeritus George Ayers Cress (1921 – 2008) a dedicated lifetime advocate of the University’s Gallery of Art and its importance for both campus and community.
