La Becque | Artist Residency is the core project of the Fondation Françoise Siegfried-Meier. A violinist of renown born in 1914, Françoise Siegfried-Meier showed an unswerving commitment to the artists of her time. Built on the grounds of her family domain, La Becque aspires to foster exchange and creativity between up-and-coming and established artists, across all disciplines. It grants particular attention to the development of artistic projects focused on nature and technology, which today are increasingly intertwined and at the core of contemporary preoccupations.Located on a unique slice of lakeside land with stunning views of Lake Geneva and the Alps, La Becque offers state of the art live and work infrastructure. Eight full-size apartments, four rooms for shorter stays, large artist workshops, and event facilities are all located on site. Our networks facilitate entry and collaboration with a strong network of visual art, design and performing art venues and schools in Lausanne, Geneva, and in all of Switzerland.
