Quartiere Intelligente (Q.I.) is an urban regeneration project located in Montesanto in the historical center of Naples. Q.I. is a cultural center and urban lab for innovative practices opened in 2013 in order to contribute to the construction of the ecological and digital city, new models of sustainability, and the most advanced forms of art that arise in relation to the urban sphere. The goal is to make innovation and sustainability the strategic elements of territorial development welcoming numerous specialists from different sectors as an open hub and proposing artistic and educational activities as a focal point for the area.
Its artistic activities are curated and developed by Adriana Rispoli. These include the project Q.I. VEDO, a video art format in which national and international artists interpret the relationship between man and nature while exploiting mainstream advertising strategies by projecting visual messages on an urban wall which then turns into a magnetic attraction for aesthetic and cognitive capital aiming to strike the imagination of a transitory audience, and MontesantoArte, six months of artistic residence for four young Italian artists promoted with Fondazione Donnaregina per le Arti Contemporanee, Naples.
