The inaugural Amsterdam Art/Book Fair was held on May 14-15, 2011, showcasing a curated selection of 70 international publishers from 16 countries. Featuring a diverse range of printed materials and digital media from independent publishers, artists, magazines, institutions, art schools, and graphic design studios, the fair highlighted emerging trends in artistic practices. Alongside the fair, a series of conferences, artist talks, book launches, and performances took place. Specially curated tables presented a variety of publications and posters. The event served as a key gathering point during Amsterdam Art Week, with a focus on education, inviting art and design academies to showcase recent publications and lecture series.
