Museum de Fundatie connects people with art, makers and each other. Museum de Fundatie is a place for inspiration, dialogue, wonder and debate. As a home for makers of all disciplines, we are a booster for art and culture in the region and beyond. What is going on in society concerns us and we play a connecting role through art. Our collections - our own broad collection of art and design design and the collection of the province of Overijssel - make us unique, as do the two historic buildings in which they are on display (Museum de Fundatie in Zwolle and Kasteel het Nijenhuis in Heino). The collection and the region are the most important starting points. Our collection comprises around 16,000 objects of visual art and design, from the late Middle Ages to the present.
