Hours: Monday–Friday 7pm–8am
In 1825 we first opened our doors, becoming the first school of art and design in England outside of London. Ever since we’ve continued to push boundaries and today, our community of artists, designers, illustrators and architects deliver cutting-edge educational programmes, produce high-impact research and work alongside some of the world’s most iconic cultural leaders. We recently welcomed Turner Prize winning “Assemble” as our resident artists, and continue to work with bold artists across a range of disciplines.
The Liverpool School of Art and Design is a vibrant and inspirational creative art environment where students are encouraged to be innovative, exceptional and imaginative. Students are based in the iconic, RIBA Stirling Prize nominated John Lennon Art and Design Building, situated in the heart of Liverpool in LJMU’s Mount Pleasant campus, so you’ll be close to arts venues, the city’s cultural venues and the Aldham Robarts library. The University also has partnerships with Tate Liverpool, Liverpool Biennial, FACT and L’Internationale, so you’ll have opportunities to collaborate and build experiences around your chosen discipline.
