Braunschweig University of Art (HBK) is pleased to announce ‘CROSSING TALES’ - the final presentation of eight international scholarship holders and artists in residence of the fellowship programme Braunschweig Projects 2024/2025.
The exhibition “Crossing Tales” will take place from 29 January to 21 February 2025. It is curated by Elisa Giuliano and will show works from Erfan Aboutalebi, Joe Cave, Sofia Duchovny, Tang Han, Bojana (S) Knežević, Joscha Steffens and Kai-Hendrik Windeler.
During their one-year residency, the artists lived and worked in the university’s residential studios in Braunschweig. To realise their artistic projects, they had access to the university’s workshops and were supported by professors frome the institute of fine arts. In their final presentation, the fellows are now showing projects that were created during the year. The approximately 400 square metres of exhibition space in the Montagehalle provides a stage for the extraordinary diversity of artistic positions, which manifests itself both in the choice of media and content.
Braunschweig Projects is a programme of the Federal State of Lower Saxony that supports international, emerging artists through scholarships at Braunschweig University of Art. Since 2011, the programme has given artists from across the world the opportunity to develop and realise projects at HBK Braunschweig.
