Hito Steyerl: Factory of the Sun

Factory of the Sun by Hito Steyerl is an impressive total installation that engages the viewer physically. Surveillance, computer games, globalization, modern warfare and anti-capitalist movements are among the themes elegantly combined into one captivating narrative, where the boundaries between reality and fiction are blurred. Charlottenborg Spring Exhibition 2017

Charlottenborg Spring Exhibition is one of the most important open call exhibitions in Europe and has been part of the annual programme at Kunsthal Charlottenborg since 1857. From 781 international applications, 61 artists, architects and designers from all over the world have been selected by the jury this year. Read more about the exhibition.
Welcome Too Late

When everything from climate to technology is changing at accelerating pace, the group show Welcome Too Late is based on the premise that instead of running after time, the tendency is now towards zooming out on other and bigger temporalities. Artists include Iain Ball, Marguerite Humeau, and Katja Novitskova. Welcome Too Late is presented in collaboration with the Danish documentary film festival CPH:DOX and is curated by Toke Lykkeberg. MFA Degree Show 2017

24 graduates from The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts Schools of Visual Arts present new works at the MFA Degree Show 2017, an exhibtion which provides a sublime look into the works of emerging Danish artists. John Kørner

During the summer Kunsthal Charlottenborg presents the largest solo presentation to date by internationally recognized Danish artist John Kørner, including new paintings and site-specific total installations. The exhibition focuses on Kørner’s perspective on contemporary art as a field where beauty as well as social commitment can be expressed. The exhibition is curated by Marie Nipper. Whistleblowers & Vigilantes—Figures of Digital Resistance
June 18–August 13 / Opening: June 17
Through art works, TV clips, surveillance video, documentary and historical documents the controversial exhibition Whistleblowers & Vigilantes presents new perspectives on the intensive debate on whistleblowers. The exhibition is featuring Anonymous, Julian Assange, DIS, Omer Fast, Chelsea Manning, Metahaven and Edward Snowden. The exhibition is organized in collaboration with HMKV in Dortmund and curated by Inke Arns and Jens Kabish. Read more about the exhibition.
