Join us for the second edition of Dublin Gallery Weekend, taking place from Friday, November 25 to Sunday, November 27, 2016. Over one weekend, 36 art galleries across Dublin city invite visitors to experience a series of specially programmed events, including exhibition openings, artist and curator talks, walking tours, late openings and workshops.
The wide range of events and exhibitions will be taking place citywide in galleries including IMMA, MART Gallery, Douglas Hyde, Kevin Kavanagh Gallery, RHA, Project Arts Centre, Kerlin Gallery, NCAD Gallery, Dublin City Gallery The Hugh Lane, The Gallery of Photography and many more, and feature a range of Irish and international artists. Guided walking tours will showcase the cultural highlights of areas such as Trinity, Parnell Square, Monto, The Coombe, Merrion Square, St. Stephens Green and Temple Bar.
Highlights include the exhibition opening of a new film work by Irish born artist and Turner Prize 2014 winner Duncan Campbell at IMMA, Family Club at The Lab with artists Bethan Parkes and Natalie Anderson, and an Artist Talk featuring Mary Cremin in conversation with Barbara Knezevic in Temple Bar Gallery and Studios. In The Graphic Studio Gallery, Irish street artist MASER will discuss his exhibition and career to date. Irish artist Kathy Prendergast will show work at Kerlin Gallery and Douglas Hyde, and the Halftone Print Fair runs all weekend at The Library Project. As well as this a host of workshops, open studios, exhibiton launches and artists talks are taking place at galleries throughout the city.
