You are cordially invited to the XIII. International Bauhaus-Kolloquium, which will be held at the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar from October 26–29, 2016.

The conference, titled “Dust and Data,” celebrates the fortieth anniversary of the International Bauhaus-Kolloquium and reflects on an almost century long history of the Bauhaus, its international influence and the migration of its ideas. Four thematic sections—object, archive, migration and data—will examine new methods of historiography, architectural analysis and production in order to address contemporary architectural ideas in the context of global politics. Leading architects, artists, historians, theoreticians, media theorists and researchers will present new approaches to architectural history and practice.

During the Young Bauhaus Research Colloquium, on October 26 and 27, over 60 young international scholars, architects and artists will present their research in several workshop sessions. An exhibition about the history of the International Bauhaus-Kolloquium will open on October 26 and will remain open throughout the conference.
