October 31–November 2, 2025
Luigi Fassi has been confirmed as Director of Artissima, Italy’s only art fair focused exclusively on contemporary art, for two more years.
After three successful editions, Luigi Fassi will continue to lead the fair for the 2025 and 2026 editions. Under Fassi’s leadership from 2022 to 2024, Artissima has strengthened its dual identity: as a commercially focused fair with a curatorial edge, renowned globally, and as a cultural enterprise working alongside gallerists and artists to develop projects and bring ideas to life. During his tenure, Fassi has reinforced Artissima’s role as a bridge between Turin, Italy, and the international contemporary art scene.
In the words of Massimo Broccio, President of the Fondazione Torino Musei: “Over the past three years, Artissima has further consolidated its international standing and undisputed leadership within the contemporary art system, thanks to the refined and insightful direction of Luigi Fassi. It was therefore a natural decision—and one made with great enthusiasm by the Board of Directors of the Fondazione Torino Musei—to renew the director’s mandate for an additional two-year term, 2025–2026, as outlined in previous agreements. Internationalization, collaboration, entrepreneurship, and cultural value are the key elements that have characterized Artissima’s growth under Fassi’s leadership, and they will continue to serve as the pillars of its development in the years to come, with an increasingly prominent institutional role”.
Luigi Fassi stated: “I am delighted to continue developing the fair with commitment and enthusiasm during the 2025-2026 two-year term, striving to better respond to the visionary proposals of Italian and international gallerists who have defined Artissima’s unique identity for 32 years. I also look forward to further fostering trust and collaboration with collectors who consider Artissima a key reference for discovering new talent. In the coming editions, Artissima will further strengthen its institutional role by reinforcing collaborations with museums, foundations, and their directors, pursuing a shared path of research and innovation. These two years represent an opportunity to continue growing as a community, uniting the passion and intellect of those who believe in the transformative power of art as a key to navigating the challenges of the future.”
Artissima 2025 will take place from October 31 to November 2 in Torino (Preview: October 30).
The 2025 edition of the fair will be composed of four flagship sections (Main Section, Monologue/Dialogue, New Entries, Art Spaces & Editions) and three curated sections (Disegni, Present Future, Back to the Future).
Applications will be open from mid-March.
The organisation of Artissima is overseen by Artissima srl, a company affiliated with Fondazione Torino Musei and formed in 2008 to manage the fair’s artistic and commercial relations. The Artissima trademark belongs to Città di Torino, Regione Piemonte and Città Metropolitana di Torino. The 2025 edition of Artissima is made possible with the support of the three brand-owning authorities, jointly with Fondazione CRT through Fondazione per l’Arte Moderna e Contemporanea CRT, Fondazione Compagnia di San Paolo and Camera di commercio di Torino.
