Fiera Milano presents the twenty-ninth edition of miart, the international modern and contemporary art fair, which will take place from April 4 to 6, 2025 (VIP preview on Thursday, April 3) at the Allianz MiCo spaces in Milan. Under the artistic direction of Nicola Ricciardi, and thanks to the work of an enhanced group of curators and art professionals, miart 2025 reaffirms its centrality in the European landscape, offering a balance between local specificity and international proposals, through a careful combination of leading Italian galleries and some of the most important galleries from five continents.
Among the new entries in the Established section, notable returns and significant debuts include The Breeder (Athens), Ben Brown Fine Arts (London, Hong Kong, Venice), Sadie Coles HQ (London), MASSIMODECARLO (Milan, London, Hong Kong, Paris, Beijing), Document (Chicago, Lisbon), Maxwell Graham Gallery (New York), Meyer Riegger (Berlin, Karlsruhe, Basel, Seoul), Victoria Miro (London, Venice), Esther Schipper (Berlin, Paris, Seoul). These are in addition to relevant confirmations from galleries such as 1 Mira Madrid (Madrid), APALAZZOGALLERY (Brescia), Galerie Buchholz (Cologne, Berlin, New York), Cardi Gallery (London, Milan), ChertLüdde (Berlin), Galleria Continua (San Gimignano, Beijing, Les Moulins, Havana, Rome, Sao Paulo, Paris), Lodovico Corsini (Brussels), Raffaella Cortese (Milan, Albisola), Corvi-Mora (London), Galleria dello Scudo (Verona), EHRHARDT FLÓREZ (Madrid), greengrassi (London), kaufmann repetto (Milan, New York), Galerie Peter Kilchmann (Zurich, Paris), Galerie Lelong & Co. (Paris), Lombardi—Kargl (Vienna), Madragoa (Lisbon), Magazzino (Rome), Galleria d’Arte Maggiore g.a.m. (Bologna, Venice, Paris), Mai 36 Galerie (Zurich, Madrid), Gió Marconi (Milan), Mazzoleni (London, Turin), Francesca Minini (Milan), Galleria Massimo Minini (Brescia), MISAKO & ROSEN (Tokyo), ML fine art (Milan), Montrasio Arte (Monza, Milan, Piacenza), P420 (Bologna), Dawid Radziszewski (Warsaw, Vienna), Repetto Gallery (Lugano), Robilant+Voena (Milan, London, New York), Lia Rumma (Milan, Naples), Richard Saltoun Gallery (London, Rome, New York), GIAN ENZO SPERONE (Sent), Sprovieri (London), Tornabuoni Arte (Florence, Milan, Rome, Forte dei Marmi, Paris, Crans Montana), Galerie Tschudi (Zuoz, Zurich), VISTAMARE (Pescara, Milan), Galerie Hubert Winter (Vienna), ZERO… (Milan), just to name a few.
Emergent, the section curated by Attilia Fattori Franchini and focused on promoting the most recent generations of artists, welcomes 25 galleries from across the globe: from Canada (Franz Kaka, Toronto) to Australia (Daine Singer, Melbourne), passing through Mexico (N.A.S.A.L., Mexico City) and some of the most interesting Milanese galleries, such as ArtNoble Gallery, eastcontemporary, MATTA, or zaza’. Also noteworthy is the selection of London-based galleries—Brunette Coleman, Rose Easton, Ginny on Frederick, Ilenia, Nicoletti, Rose Easton, TINA—highlighting the growing interest and movement of artists, curators, and collectors between Italy and the UK. It is also worth noting, in continuity with the last three editions of miart, the transition of three galleries from Emergent to Established—Arcadia Missa (London), Sébastien Bertrand (Geneva), UNA (Piacenza, Milan)—highlighting how this section has, over time, consolidated its role as a training ground that helps emerging realities develop strength and awareness, giving value and growth prospects to their artists.
Finally, Portal, curated for the first time by Alessio Antoniolli, strengthens and defines its presence by bringing together ten galleries for as many solo projects that break the boundaries between disciplines, time, and space, exploring hidden narratives and new creative fields. Among the stands, notable projects include the one dedicated to the Ghanaian collective blaxTARlines hosted by APALAZZOGALLERY (Brescia), the focus on the self-taught artist from Northern Amazonia Santiago Yahuarcani presented by Crisis (Lima), the solo show of Cameroonian sculptor Victor Fotso Nyie at P420 (Bologna), and a project by the enigmatic Lucy Otter at Galleria Franco Noero (Turin), just to name a few.

The title of the 29th edition of miart, “among friends” aims to pay tribute to Robert Rauschenberg on the centenary of his birth, while also exploring the principles underlying his practice: openness to the world, interdisciplinarity, commitment to collaboration. In the same spirit, and to systematize the network of relationships built over the years, miart 2025 has actively propelled a series of initiatives centered around the themes of “friendship” and dialogues in the artistic field. These initiatives will include a Robert Rauschenberg exhibition at Museo del Novecento, as part of the multidisciplinary program on view during the Milano ArtWeek together with miart.
