Fontys Master’s program in Performing Public Space invites artists from diverse backgrounds to apply with individual artistic research projects focusing on public space.

This one-year Master’s program (offered in a hybrid format: online and on-campus) explores public space as a backdrop for artistic expression, intervention, and research.

The primary goal of the program is to equip students with an independent and critically reflective attitude while enabling them to seamlessly shift between various roles within the organizational processes of their artistic research. The Master’s program provides students with the essential tools to act as both artists and researchers, adept at navigating complex modes and methods within contemporary artistic practices and outcomes.

In this Master’s program, you will: Acquire the skills necessary to conduct artistic research. Develop well-grounded artistic strategies. Gain a deeper understanding of and position within sociopolitical contexts.
