The School of Architecture at Syracuse University seeks candidates for a full-time, tenure-track position in Architectural Design+ at the Assistant Professor level. This position will begin in the 2025–26 academic year, with a salary range of 85,000—95,000 USD.
Applicants should possess a professional or terminal degree in architecture or a related field, with relevant professional experience in architectural design, and demonstrate a potential for recognized research that may include built work, theoretical explorations, advocacy, creative work, and/or scholarship in the form of publications, exhibitions, and grants. Successful candidates should demonstrate the ability to integrate their research interests, creative work, or professional practice into their teaching. Candidates with teaching experience are encouraged to submit sample syllabi and student work alongside their scholarship or creative work portfolio.
Teaching responsibilities include design studios and a seminar or lecture course in a well-defined field of expertise in building technology, building systems, media, representation, history, or theory. Responsibilities include working towards an internationally recognized research and/or professional design profile, serving the school, University, and greater community, and fostering an equitable and inclusive student experience.
