The Irwin S. Chanin School of Architecture has a long and well-known tradition of asking students to engage with both abstract and technical questions that connect the built environment to a sense of civic responsibility.
The Master of Science in Architecture is a three-semester post-professional degree program in New York City. The studio- and seminar-based curriculum, culminating in a design research thesis project, approaches architectural discourse critically—questioning the very boundaries of architecture itself. In addition, it prepares those interested in pursuing teaching careers or a related Ph.D. at another institution.
A designated STEM program, allowing international graduates to extend their F-1 visas up to three years.
