Call for applications to The Starr Fellowship at the Royal Academy Schools in London. The Starr Fellowship is a, one year, fixed term, artist residency at the Royal Academy Schools for a visual artist who is a US national.

The fellow is provided with a studio, access to the postgraduate programme of lectures and talks, seminars, technical facilities and expertise, and the RA’s extensive Collection, Library and Archive. 

The primary purpose of the Starr Fellowship is the development of their work in their studio.  

The Starr Fellow will use their practice and experience to enhance the academic life of the Royal Academy Schools delivering an artist’s talk at the beginning of the year and contributing  to group critiques with first year students.  The Fellow will present their work towards the end of the Fellowship in the form of a public exhibition in the Weston Studio at the Royal Academy.

Before you apply:
–Candidates must be eligible for a Tier 5 visa. To find out more, please visit the following Gov website.
–Candidates will preferably be based in the United States. However, if they are based internationally we expect a candidate to be able to demonstrate an existing and ongoing strong working presence/network within the US. 
–Candidates will typically come from a teaching background/have teaching experience, and an MFA.
