OFFSCREEN Paris returns this year to the Grand Garage Haussmann for its third edition from October 16 to 20, 2024. It will be the last opportunity to discover this brutalist building with an Art Deco façade before its transformation.

OFFSCREEN 2024 is composed of 28 solo show presentations of international avant-garde, historical and contemporary artists, working with installations and experimental practices around image-based work.

Under the supervision of Artistic Director Julien Frydman, OFFSCREEN maintains its unique position as both artistic curation and commercial event with its cohesive presentations by international and French galleries. Widely lauded by visitors, professionals and collectors, it is a must see highlight of Paris Art Week in October.

OFFSCREEN is accompanied and supported by its official partners: Lombard Odier, a loyal partner of the event since its inception, and Dior Parfums, which will present Little Spoon, an installation by Valentin Derom, winner of the special mention of the seventh edition 2024 of the “Dior Photography and Visual Arts Award for Young Talents”.

Cultish, the label dedicated to fostering dialogue between art, culture, and craft initiated by Publicis Luxe, becomes the third official partner of OFFSCREEN, giving rise to the OFFSCREEN x Cultish Prize to reward one remarkable artistic proposal at OFFSCREEN. The prize, valued at 10,000 euros, will be awarded by a group of guest curators, joined by the artistic directors of Publicis Luxe.

For its third edition, OFFSCREEN will take over the entire boutique hotel Eldorado during Paris Art Week, which will become La Maison OFFSCREEN, a meeting place for the wider OFFSCREEN community in the evenings. In addition, during the week, 20 curators from leading international institutions (MoCA, The Whitney, Tate, Serpentine, Haus der Kunst, etc.) will take part at the hotel in the brand new OFFSCREEN Curatorial Residency Program, which will include a curatorial research grant.

OFFSCREEN is pleased to partner with Artforum, the renowned international art magazine, which will premiere at the Grand Garage Haussmann “Artforum Dossiers,” thematic collections of previously published materials aimed at making the magazine’s vast archive more accessible to the public, within a pop-up exhibition of OFFSCREEN related archives.

OFFSCREEN partners also with Printed Matter, one of the world’s largest non-profit distributors of artists’ books, located in Chelsea, New York. The Printed Matter OFFSCREEN Bookshop will present a large selection of artists’ books from around the world and feature publications on experimental film, video, and poetry, among other materials, in line with the artistic direction of OFFSCREEN.

OFFSCREEN continues its collaboration with Scott Stover, a global thinker and influential advisor in the world of arts, culture and science, and founder of the GIVING BACK IS DEAD podcast. Giving Back Is Dead returns to OFFSCREEN with its program of live interviews at the Grand Garage Haussmann on NextGen giving to the arts. The focus this year is on European-led initiatives.

OFFSCREEN is led and curated by artistic director Julien Frydman. OFFSCREEN was co-founded by Julien Frydman and Jean-Daniel Compain in 2022.
