Art Athina 2024, the most influential art event in Greece and one of the oldest art fairs in Europe, is getting ready for this year’s edition. The highly anticipated fair will open its gates for the Greek and international artworld from September 19–23, 2024, at the historical Zappeion Mansion, a part of national heritage of Greek civilization in the center of Athens.

Dynamic, diverse, diachronic—last year it celebrated its 30th anniversary—Art Athina has been acting as a meeting point of visitors including artists, galleries, collectors, and those interested in the artworld as its quality and efficiency has won over the public and the press. A testament to that, are the thousands of visitors that the fair welcomes every year, number that steadily increases annually. 

Ever-growing, Art Athina is a well-established institution, organized by the Hellenic Art Galleries Association. Its success relies on its valuable team headed by Director, Antonis Kourkoulos and its annual partnerships with distinguished artworld professionals. Τhe meaningful collaborations for each year’s edition, with principally, new curators will support the fair’s program along with Marilena Koutsoukou, the newly appointed Development Director, who will lead its strategic partnerships and the award-winning team of G Design Studio, who will design the visual identity of the fair.

Art Athina carries on its goal to maintain the dialogue between the Greek and international galleries open, by featuring more than 70 participants per year.

Art Athina in its 2024 edition, presents its core program in the Main sector, showcasing a wide selection of local and international galleries.

The fair is also comprised of the following parallel programming, each with a different focus: Design, presenting contemporary collectible design, curated by Tina Daskalantonaki and Manthos Kaloumenos, Mare Studio. / Projects, presenting independent art spaces, curated by Loukia Thomopoulou. / Talks bringing together distinguished guests that will delve into the insights of the gallery system, curated by Olympia Tzortzi. / Video, highlighting innovative visual material to the public, curated by Panos Gannikopoulos. / Performance, introducing inspired works and presentations for the first time to the Fair’s visitors, curated by Nicolas Vamvouklis. / Kid’s Educational Program conceived by the non-profit international social organization for contemporary art and culture KROMA, for children from six years old, teenagers and their companions.
