The digital Catalogue raisonné of the works of Giulio Paolini (Genoa, Italy, 1940), a leading figure in Italian and international conceptual art, has been expanded to include a new section devoted to print editions and multiples.
The printed production, which began in 1967 and is still ongoing, includes works of various techniques and genres (portfolios, books, prints, objects) that, taken together, offer a significant representation of Paolini’s language and poetics.
A shared archival heritage, with few precedents in Italy, documenting the Turin artist’s entire production in unprecedented terms.
The digital catalogue, in Italian and English, is now divided into three themed sections:
–paintings, sculptures and installations (1,170 two-dimensional wall-mounted works, three-dimensional works on a base, installations)
–works on paper (2,400 collages and drawings)
–print editions and multiples (160 works)
Each thematic area can be consulted in various ways: in chronological order, by scrolling and flipping through the pages; by decades, via the timeline at the top centre; by targeted searches, using the free search field and search filters; through the annotated entries, accessible by clicking on the image of the work.
Updated in real time to reflect Paolini’s activity and the acquisition of new data and information, the catalogue invites you to immerse yourself in the artist’s world, to discover his themes and motifs, his visual language and his thinking.
