The École nationale supérieure des beaux-arts de Lyon (ENSBA Lyon), a public institution for higher education founded in the 18th century (and an EPCC—Public Establishment for Cultural Cooperation—since 2011) is dedicated to studies in Fine Arts and Design (Spatial, Graphic and Textile). It features an international team of renowned faculty and staff and a diverse body of 350 students. The school is located since 2007 on the exceptional site of Les Subsistances on the bank of the Sâone River, together with the creative center Les Subs. It expands over 10,000 sq meters of studio, production and technical facilities, auditoriums, exhibition space, and a prestigious library.
ENSBA Lyon offers Bachelor (DNA) and Master Degrees (DNSEP) as well as 3rd Circles programs including DSRA (Higher Diploma of Research in Art) and the acclaimed one-year Post-graduate international study program (Post-diplôme) created in 1999.
The school operates with a budget of 8.7 million Euros and employs a total of 120 staff members, comprising administrative, technical, and educational staff, including 60 faculty.The institution also operates from two annex sites within the Metropole of Lyon, one for a preparatory class for art academies that hosts 60 students per year, and the other for the department of amateur classes in art, which has 870 registered users.
Profile
We are currently seeking for a dynamic, visionary, and inspiring director, with strong managerial and communication skills, for the ENSBA Lyon. An ideal candidate is a respected professional from the field of contemporary creation with a commitment to higher education and an extensive knowledge of global contemporary art and design, known for:
–Their proficiency in networking and collaborating closely with partners of various scales and influence
–Their ability to negotiate effectively with supervisory bodies and secure funding
–Their capacity to mobilize multi-disciplinary teams around projects dealing with education, research and experimentation in art and design
–Their significant professional experience at a comparable level of responsibility, a deep knowledge of the world of higher education and of research in the creative fields.
