The Barcelona-based nonprofit Talking Galleries and the art advisory firm Schwartzman&, with Loring Randolph as Programming Director, announce the second edition of its New York art world symposium.
Taking place on April 8 and 9, the two-day think tank will be held at Tishman Speyer’s The Spiral building featuring a wide program of speakers addressing timely topics, including the relevancy of arts criticism, securing the financial future of public institutions, the agency of artists, institutions shifting public consciousness, AI’s effect, the state of the art market, geographical focuses on Mexico City and Paris, and more.
Returning in 2024 following the succesful 2022 program, Talking Galleries New York sets the stage for a pivotal in-person meeting, offering a vital space for dialogue and exchange within the art ecosystem. This gathering becomes a noteworthy occasion for industry leaders to reconnect, share insights, and collectively navigate the evolving landscape of the art world.

About Talking Galleries
Talking Galleries is a Spanish non-profit think tank founded in 2011 in Barcelona, dedicated to generating knowledge and fostering debate about art galleries and the global art market. With an annual symposium in Barcelona since its foundation, Talking Galleries additionally organizes international symposia to bring together both established and emerging figures in the art world, addressing current challenges, sharing experiences, and re-evaluating existing models. The organization has gained international recognition with events in Paris, Madrid, Seoul, London, and Berlin. Schwartzman&, established in mid-2021 in New York City, operates from the Dia Art Foundation building. They provide art advisory services to a diverse clientele, including individuals and organizations in the private and public sectors. Emphasizing a highly personal and dialogue-based approach, the firm aims to offer a flexible model for art advisory services. Beyond traditional advisory roles, Schwartzman& serves as an incubator for the health and evolution of the art ecosystem, responding to clients seeking innovative ways to engage with and collect art, contribute to philanthropy, and drive positive change.
