About the role
Reporting to the Executive Director (ED), the incumbent will work closely with the ED and Senior Management team to establish priorities and plans for exhibition programming and content development which will effectively align with Visiting Artist Programme (VAP), STPI’s artists residency programme. The Director will also be a key member of the Senior Management team.
The Director is expected to lead the long-range planning for gallery’s exhibitions; conceive and develop strategies for the content development unit to create focused activities and oversee the positive growth of this unit.
Some of the key deliverables include; identifying potential artists for VAP, developing, planning and executing exhibitions and related programmes.
About you
You will possess outstanding leadership and exceptional interpersonal skills to build mutually beneficial relationships with artists and curators. Additionally, you should be passionate for visual arts and proven to be a team leader and player who is resourceful and detail-oriented.
Bachelor’s Degree holder in Art History or Museum Studies with at least ten years of relevant working experience, especially in Asia with a minimum of five years’ experience in developing exhibition programming in a museum or gallery. This role also involves management and administrative duties.
