The Braunschweig University of Art (HBK Braunschweig) is thrilled to announce its annual Fine Art diploma exhibition, comprised of the work of thirty-two graduate students. The open format of the exhibition allows the students creative freedom in the presentation of their projects, reflecting the general ethos of the HBK Braunschweig. Featuring a diverse range of works, including paintings, prints, sculptures, installations, photographs, moving image, and sound-based works, the exhibition exhibited a broad spectrum of artistic approaches, expressive intentions, and thematic interests.

As the students draw on their personal perspectives and lived experiences to engage with the global state of contemporary art, their graduation projects point in the direction of osmosis and transition. The artists leave behind the final significant chapter of their education to open themselves up to the world.

The diploma exhibition took place at the HBK Braunschweig in the context of Rundgang 2023. The university opened its doors to the public July 13–16, 2023, offering exciting insights into Lower Saxony’s only fine art state university.

Next year, applications for the Fine Arts program at Braunschweig University of Art are expected to be open February 1–March 15, 2024.
