Art & Design Undergraduate Degree Show 2023

Over 11,000 visitors flocked to the University of Dundee’s Duncan of Jordanston College of Art & Design, in celebration of their annual Art & Design Undergraduate Degree Show 2023. Celebrating the achievements of 350 graduating students from Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art & Design (DJCAD), the exhibition welcomed the public into DJCAD’s studio and exhibition spaces to browse a variety of works from final-year students covering a range of artistic disciplines across multiple media and genres.

Based in Scotland, Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art & Design is the creative heart of the University of Dundee. World-renowned for our high-quality teaching and research, we’ve helped to kick start the careers of some of the finest artists and designers across the globe.

Visiting the show was an excellent opportunity to browse all the work of the final year students covering a range of artistic disciplines across multiple media and genres, from architecture to animation. After three years of online and hybrid exhibitions, staff, students and visitors were excited to see the show return to its in-person exhibition, with full access to studios and exhibition spaces.

Ranked Top 10 in the UK for Art and Design by the Complete University Guide 2024, DJCAD is known for its contributions to the Art scene with many of its students having gone on to have highly successful careers within the industry. The Degree Show is therefore an opportunity to promote and present its students work on a global scale.   

While the Degree Show opened to public from Saturday, May 20–Sunday, May 28, the show also offered a ticketed Friends and Family event, and a VIP Industry Night giving the students a fantastic opportunity to network with professionals in the relevant fields. There was also a dedicated Prize Giving evening event, which saw a number of graduates also receive awards for their final art projects and exhibitions.
