SITE Santa Fe is pleased to announce Helado Negro and Lido Pimienta as the headliner musicians for its upcoming OFF THE RAILS: Annual Benefit & Concert event on June 22, 2023. OFF THE RAILS is a one-of-a-kind benefit and concert experience that raises vital funds for SITE Santa Fe’s groundbreaking contemporary art exhibitions, Every Day Free Admission, transformative education initiatives, and dynamic public events that spark creativity in audiences of all ages and strengthen community through the power of art. Presented in collaboration with the newly formed Lensic 360.
Last year’s inaugural event was a tremendous success and gathered over 1,000 arts patrons, gallerists, collectors, artists, and music enthusiasts from all over New Mexico, the Southwest, and across the country, setting the tone for a record-breaking year of 35,000 visitors to SITE Santa Fe’s internationally recognized and critically acclaimed contemporary art programming.
“I am deeply grateful to the 1,000+ people who came out to support SITE Santa Fe at last year’s first-ever OFF THE RAILS Benefit and Concert. Inspired by the success of this huge celebration of art and community, we are delighted and honored to present our second annual event featuring the extraordinary music talents of Helado Negro and Lido Pimienta. OFF THE RAILS is the perfect way to enjoy a summer evening, and we can’t wait to gather people together at SITE Santa Fe and in the beautiful Railyard Park,” says Louis Grachos, SITE Santa Fe Phillips Executive Director.
The evening begins with a cocktail party featuring innovative mixology and creative hors d’oeuvres, as guests experience extraordinary installations by Bruce Nauman and Rachel Rose. A live auction conducted by Sotheby’s will follow, with significant works of art by Bruce Nauman, Rachel Rose, Nicholas Galanin, Pedro Reyes, Rebecca Ward, Paula Castillo, Max Cole, Richard Tuttle, Tom Joyce, and Helen Pashgain. The dinner will feature local ingredients and thoughtfully curated wine pairings.
The night will reach its zenith in a sensational pairing of Latinx and Afro-Indigenous art-pop with musicians Helado Negro and Lido Pimienta at an all-ages concert on the lawn in the neighboring Railyard Park.
“We are very excited about the continued growth of OFF THE RAILS as we go into year two,” says Jamie Lenfestey of Lensic 360. “Bringing amazing music to the Railyard in collaboration with SITE Santa Fe is the type of dynamic event creation that I have always been proudest of in my career. OFF THE RAILS 2023 will be an amazing event for Santa Fe.”
