Daily talks program organized by Fondation d’entreprise Ricard
October 20–23, 2016, 6pm
51 avenue d’Iéna

The Fondation d’entreprise Ricard and Paris Internationale happily renewed their collaboration to organize an ambitious series of conversations examining a few contemporary issues of art practices. Throughout the week, we will try to ask a few relevant questions about the permanence of data, collectivity and militantism in art and the transmission of knowledge. We hope to make some valid points while spending a convivial time together.
Taking place daily at the fair on the third floor, Conversations program is curated by Clément Delépine (co-director of Paris Internationale). Speakers include Mélanie Bouteloup, Kate Cooper, Kenneth Goldsmith, Flora Katz, Chus Martínez, Justin Meekel, Alexandra Pirici, Georgia Sagri and many more.
Schedule
Thursday, October 20

The inaugural conversation will circle around archiving strategies when ever-expanding capacities of storage allow for a certain permanence of data and if it affects the way we hierarchize information.

During the second conversation we will explore notions of collaborative practices and the experience of art from a collective point of view.

We will conclude this series of conversation debating Art School as the institutions articulating transmission of knowledge and promotion of talent, and what kind of tools and intellectual baggage they are providing the students with.
