This spring, the UIC School of Architecture continues building a new rhythm of in-person public programming. This era of the school is defined by the belief in the value of exchanging ideas and learning from each other—a belief reflected in the program and its formats. All events are free and open to the public.

Conferences
The spring’s conferences offer concentrated looks at topics that resonate with design investigations and ideas in development at the school.
March 16–17: This Is Not Contemporary
Inspired by Giorgio Agamben’s interpretation of contemporariness as a way of adhering to time through disjunction and anachronism, guests and faculty discuss current production and speculate on the future of practice, criticism, and architectural pedagogies. Featuring Zehra Ahmed, Paul Andersen, Kelly Bair, Shantel Blakely, Esther Choi, Ignacio Galán, Beatrice Galilee, Stewart Hicks, Andrew Holder, Mariana Ibañez, Thomas Kelley, and Paul Preissner, among others.
