Gallery Weekend Berlin
April 28–30, 2023
Every spring, we renew our art-filled appointment in our calendars as we invite collectors, artists, museum directors, curators, journalists, and art lovers from all over the world to a wide array of concurrent events and exhibitions opening in the city. This year, the 19th Gallery Weekend Berlin will take place from April 28 to 30 with 55 participating galleries—be sure to save the date.
An extensive program, spread over more than 50 locations, will showcase about 80 international artists. In addition to established names such as Alexandra Bircken, Cao Fei, Adrian Ghenie, Sheila Hicks, Jorge Pardo, Charlotte Posenenske and Hito Steyerl; emerging artists such as Monia Ben Hamouda, Aziz Hazara, Samuel Hindolo, Frieda Toranzo Jaeger, Kaloki Nyamai and Diamond Stingily will also be on show. Particularly noteworthy is the roster of younger Berlin galleries taking part in the forthcoming Gallery Weekend edition that will present artists of their generation – such as Rhea Dillon (Sweetwater), Josefine Reisch (Noah Klink), Jordan Strafer (Heidi), and Leyla Yenirce (Schiefe Zähne).
The digital map on the Gallery Weekend Berlin website (gallery-weekend-berlin.de) offers seamless navigation between venues. Other digital formats such as artist interviews, studio visits, gallery portraits or exhibition tours give exciting insights into the Berlin gallery scene all year round.
